Updating Your DejaVoo P8 Device with the BoosterHub App
The BoosterHub app allows you to process transactions directly from the P8 device without using a separate cashier screen. You can use the device both ways: with a larger cashier screen or standalone using the app.
Getting Started
Fully charge your device and turn it on. The device will likely go directly to the DV Spin screen showing "Listening for transactions." If you don't see this, check your wifi settings by clicking the wifi icon to configure your network.
Installing the BoosterHub App
To exit the DV Spin screen, click the circle button at the bottom. It will ask for a PIN: 336686
This will take you to the app screen where you should see the DV Pay app and DV Store app. Your device likely won't show the BoosterHub app yet.
Click on the DV Store app. You should see the BoosterHub app available for download. If you don't see it immediately:
- Click the hamburger menu
- Select "Check Value Added Apps"
- This will add the BoosterHub app
If you're on the black screen, swipe up to return to the app screen.
Logging In
Once the BoosterHub app is loaded, click on it. If you're not logged in, enter your standard BoosterHub credentials (your own login or a specific login created for your concession device).
Click the Cashier button to enter the cashier screen. The first time you use it, you'll be asked to select your cash box and terminal ID. The Terminal ID is located on the back of the device.
Processing Transactions
Click on items to add them to the cart (blue button). Scroll to view your items, then click the cart to go to the checkout screen. You can edit items and see your total.
To send a receipt, enter the customer's email address. Select Pay Cash or Pay Credit.
For credit card transactions, the customer can:
- Tap their credit card or phone to the front of the screen
- Swipe at the top of the device
- Insert the chip at the bottom
- Use Apple Pay or Google Pay by holding their phone near the device
The transaction will process and return to the cashier screen in about five seconds.
Important Note
Each terminal should have its own login. For example, Terminal ID 10 should have a different login than Terminal ID 11. This ensures your batches stay properly sorted in BoosterHub.
