Workshop: Accounting 2.0 & Webmaster 2.0 Overview
What's New: Website Builder & Accounting Dashboard
This article summarizes the two major feature releases covered in our product walkthrough video. Watch the video above for a live demonstration, then use this guide as a reference as you explore these features in your BoosterHub account.
New Website Builder (Webmaster)
The updated Website Builder is designed for club leaders who have no coding or graphic design experience. This release adds significantly more customization options while keeping everything drag-and-drop simple.
Site Settings & Themes
The new Site Settings area is your first stop for giving your site a consistent look and feel. From here you can choose a theme (Artistic, Fun, Elegant, Modern, or Sporty), set your primary and secondary brand colors, and select header and body fonts from a wide library of options.
Note: If you already have a website built, switching to a new theme will convert your existing site. Your content and sections will carry over so you can review and adjust from there.
Page Layout & Content Sections
Each page has a Layout menu on the left side. Click the settings wheel to open the Content Hub, where you can see the full list of available sections, add sections to your page, and drag and drop them to reorder. Each individual section also has its own Content Hub for section-specific settings like wording, colors, photos, and call-to-action buttons.
Hero Image Options
The hero (banner) section at the top of your page has multiple display styles: a single photo, a click-through photo slider, a four-photo grid, a six-photo collage, or a multi-image mosaic.
Sponsor Logos Now Link to Websites
A highly requested feature is finally here. In the Sponsors section, you can now attach a URL to each sponsor logo so that clicking it takes visitors directly to that sponsor's website.
Event-Specific Landing Pages
You can now build a dedicated page for a single fundraiser or event — a one-stop shop that combines an About section, a Store section filtered to items tagged for that event, a Volunteer section showing only relevant opportunities, and event-specific sponsors all on one page.
Navigation & Custom Domains
You can now add new pages to the top or the bottom of your navigation. Two new page types have been added: a Volunteer page and an Event page. You can also edit, unpublish, or archive pages directly from the navigation dashboard, and reorder pages and sub-pages by dragging.
For custom domains, everything is now self-serve. You can purchase a new domain, transfer your existing domain to BoosterHub, or simply forward your existing domain from your current provider to your BoosterHub site.
New Accounting Dashboard
The new accounting dashboard is designed to give treasurers and officers a complete financial management hub that doesn't require an accounting background to use.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard home gives you quick access to six common actions — New Transaction, Submit Expenses, Cash Tally Sheet, Bank Ledger, Pay Later, and Reports — along with a snapshot of your club's financial health: reconcile status, income and expense totals for the year, action item alerts, recent transactions, and a breakdown of your top income and spending categories.
Submit Expenses (Formerly Check Request)
The old Check Request feature has been renamed Submit Expenses to reflect that it now supports debit card receipt submissions in addition to traditional check requests. Admins can also configure which users (such as the treasurer) have their requests auto-approved, skipping the approval step entirely.
Bank Account Connection
You can now connect your club's bank account directly to BoosterHub. Go to Manage Accounts at the bottom of the accounting dashboard and follow the prompts to set up your link through the Finicity platform (a Mastercard company). The connection is encrypted and secure, and over 5,000 banks and credit unions are in the network. If your bank isn't listed, contact them and ask them to join the Finicity network.
Imported Transactions & Reconciliation
Once your bank is connected, transactions import automatically. From the Transactions view, your treasurer can see all imported income and expenses, review system-suggested matches to existing entries, accept or reject matches, and categorize transactions with program tags, vendors, and accounts — all without manually entering data.
BoosterHub Debit Cards
Clubs with a UCO Merchant account are eligible for the BoosterHub Debit Card program. These are prepaid cards with a defined spending limit, giving you a safer way to distribute funds to volunteers without handing over your main bank card.
Common uses include issuing a concessions card loaded with only the concessions budget, or a chaperone card for a trip loaded with the meal allowance. When purchases are complete, you can move unused funds back to your bank. Physical cards are $5 each; virtual cards added to a digital wallet are free. Full transaction integration with BoosterHub accounting is coming soon.
Accounting Notifications
Admins can now opt in to push notifications or text alerts when an expense is submitted and needs approval, making it easy to handle approvals from your phone.
