There are several communication tools available to reach your audience.

Announcements 

This is a one-way push of information that gets sent via push notification to the members' apps. You can title the Announcement and select Tags to identify the recipient groups, or send to all members. Go to Dashboard > Announcements to create your message. After creating your message, you can choose to send as an SMS, which can also reach recipients who are Non-members and do not have the app.

Click Save, and the message will be pushed out via push notification on an alert on your members' phones. They will receive the banner notification, which they can then click on and read the update in their app. This is very helpful for urgent updates, fundraising information, and other information that you are trying to get to your membership quickly and efficiently.

Email

For email, begin in People by using Select by Tag to select the group or groups that you would like to email, or by selecting individual members. Then click the blue email icon Set Campaign Tags Group, and you will be taken to the Email module, where you can create the message.  You can select templates to start with if you would like, and add headers, photos, action buttons, etc.  

Chat

The Chat tool works with both the app and the web version. You can send direct chats to members or create groups.  If I create a group using certain Tags, then anytime I add those Tags to a new person, they will be added to that chat group automatically.  Note that only members can use the chat function and you cannot chat with non-members.
